Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Supply Chain, Purchasing & Inventory to join a growing organization and provide leadership across key purchasing and inventory functions. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to lead a team, influence supply chain performance, and drive improvements across purchasing, replenishment, inventory management, and service levels. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who combines strong analytical skills with sound business judgment and enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership and direction across purchasing, replenishment, and inventory management activities. Lead, develop, and support a team of purchasing professionals. Oversee purchasing execution and inventory performance to support service and business objectives. Monitor key inventory and service metrics and identify opportunities for improvement. Develop strategies to address excess, slow-moving, and at-risk inventory. Partner with cross-functional teams to align purchasing and inventory decisions with business needs. Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, reporting, and overall efficiency. Provide meaningful analysis and insights to support business decisions. Promote accountability, consistency, and continuous improvement across the function.
Required Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in purchasing, replenishment, inventory management, or supply chain. Experience within foodservice distribution, grocery, wholesale distribution, perishable CPG, or a similar high-volume environment strongly preferred. Direct people-management experience, including leading and developing purchasing or supply chain professionals. Demonstrated experience managing inventory performance, replenishment, purchasing execution, and service-level metrics. Strong understanding of demand planning, lead times, safety stock, reorder points, and inventory optimization. Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP, WMS, or demand planning and replenishment systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with distribution ERP platforms and demand planning or replenishment software. Experience improving or restructuring purchasing processes or teams. APICS CPIM, CSCP, or similar professional certification. Familiarity with food safety requirements as they relate to inventory management and traceability. Compensation$125,000 to $160,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus.
