EO's Ignite Internships ProgramThis student internship is being offered as a part of EO's Ignite Internships program and is for high school students only. The intern must be at least 16 and have reliable transportation. This internship is offered in partnership with Paramont Manufacturing LLC. This position is in person, located in Bristol, VA, not remote. Students will be employed by Paramont Manufacturing, and all hiring decisions will be made by Paramont Manufacturing personnel. Paramont Manufacturing has provided the following job description for this internship:
Job Description: The Administrative Support Intern provides comprehensive administrative and operational support across multiple departments while gaining hands-on experience in a professional business environment. Working under the supervision of the Human Resources Office, the intern assists with day-to-day office functions, project coordination, communication, and administrative processes that support organizational goals and operations. The intern will develop valuable skills in organization, communication, problem-solving, and professional collaboration while contributing to special projects and departmental initiatives.
Responsibilities: Supports the organization's mission, vision, and values by exhibiting the following behaviors: excellence and competence, collaboration, innovation, respect personalization, commitment to our community, and accountability and ownership. Under the direct supervision of the Human Resources & Compliance office, this position provides administrative and secretarial support. In addition to typing, filing, scheduling, this position performs duties such as aiding and support for Purchasing, Quality, Accounting, Payroll, Engineering, Marketing and the I.T Department This position is also responsible for coordination of meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies, coordinating direct mailings, and working on special projects. Answers non-routine correspondence and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information for various departments throughout the organization. Dealing with a diverse group of important external callers and visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload, recommending changes in office practices or procedures. Schedules and organizes complex activities such as meetings, travel, conferences, catering and department activities for all members of the department. Answers phones for all departments. Takes messages and answers all routine and non-routine questions. Works as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies, including high-level staff such as the CEO and Executive Management. Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects. Sorts and distributes mail. Performs desktop publishing. Creating, developing and updating all employee attendance sheets Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information and calls Notify Manager of any quality or safety issues. Maintains effective interpersonal working relationships and functions as a team member. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
