Job Description
Position Overview: As a Production Manager at Flexpak, you will be at the forefront of our daily production operations, ensuring our high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency are met. You’ll lead and inspire a talented team, driving performance and creating a positive, customer-centric culture. Key Responsibilities: Lead daily production operations, including kitting, fulfillment, corrugated, and foam activities. Plan staffing, schedules, and workflows to meet customer demand and delivery commitments. Coach and develop supervisors and team members; set clear expectations and provide regular feedback. Monitor production output, quality, inventory accuracy, and other key performance measures. Identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and improve processes, equipment use, and warehouse space. Maintain strong quality control, cycle count, and inventory practices. Promote a safe workplace through training, equipment checks, preventive maintenance, and compliance with applicable safety requirements. Manage labor and operating costs and contribute to budgeting and resource planning. Partner with Sales, Sales Support, Purchasing, and other teams to resolve issues and meet customer expectations. Support company initiatives and communicate operational priorities and results to leadership.
Qualifications: Minimum of three years of corrugated manufacturing experience. Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of production planning, inventory management, quality control, and workplace safety. Ability to use operational data to identify problems, improve workflows, and control costs. Clear communication and sound judgment when resolving day-to-day operational issues. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus. Experience with packaging, corrugated, foam, kitting, or fulfillment operations.
