About the role
Leading Global Asset Manager is seeking a Senior Equity Risk Manager to provide independent quantitative risk oversight across equity strategies and partner directly with portfolio managers and senior investment leaders.
Location:
Baltimore, MD4 days onsite / 1 day remote Key Responsibilities• Oversee risk across assigned equity strategies and identify material portfolio exposures• Analyse factor, security, sector, concentration and portfolio risks• Conduct VaR, volatility, tracking error, stress and tail risk analysis• Translate quantitative analysis into clear actionable investment insights• Develop risk dashboards, reporting and analytical tools using proprietary and vendor data• Partner with investment, technology and senior leadership teams Experience and Skills Required• 8+ years of relevant experience within asset management or investment risk• Strong buy side equity risk, portfolio construction and global markets expertise• Experience with quantitative risk methodologies and portfolio risk systems• Strong Python, R or comparable programming and data analysis skills• Experience with platforms such as MSCI Barra One or Risk Manager preferred• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage credibly with portfolio managers and senior investment professionals• CFA, FRM, PRM or advanced quantitative degree preferred
