Responsibilities:

To perform activities as ordered by departmental supervisors. Tasks can include but are not limited to: tissue processing, sectioning, (immuno)histochemical staining, in situ hybridization
Ensures the sample material is correctly handled.
Stores samples/subsamples in the correct storage location. Operates equipment correctly to obtain the correct analysis. Works meticulously and pays attention to detail.
Gives input of reagent stock status and functioning of equipment to the lab supervisor/manager.
Reports results, errors and observations as required.
Uses the LIMS, DMS and QMS systems as and when appropriate.
Ensures the working environment is clean and organized at all
EducationTechnical degree in laboratory science & technology (MSc, BSc or Graduate degree) or relevant experience working in a laboratory.

Main Requirements:

At least 3 years of relevant experience or similar through experience.
Prior experience in both tissue processing/sectioning and (immuno) histochemical staining required.

Facilitate process improvement and implementation

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
