About the role
To support its mission of advancing civil rights and economic justice, the remote 2027/2028 Legal Fellow will manage legal research, assist in developing high-impact cases, and collaborate with community partners while working within a public interest legal nonprofit.
Key responsibilities:
Conduct legal research and analysis to support case development
Collaborate with state and local government offices on legal strategies and enforcement initiatives
Engage with community organizations to build partnerships and enhance outreach efforts
Required qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent legal education
Experience in public interest law or community organizing
Familiarity with civil rights issues and economic justice initiatives
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in legal work
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
