Role Description: The Strategic Account Sales Manager is a full-time, hybrid-location role responsible for owning and growing key strategic retail and brand accounts. This role includes developing account plans, managing the sales pipeline, presenting product assortments, and negotiating pricing, terms, and programs to achieve revenue and margin goals. The Strategic Account Sales Manager will collaborate closely with product development, operations, and marketing to align customer needs with 5H’s product engine and distribution capabilities. Daily responsibilities include analyzing sales performance, forecasting demand, preparing business reviews, coordinating order fulfillment, and maintaining strong relationships with buyers and other account stakeholders. The role also requires monitoring market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and inform account strategies. Channel Focus: Candidate should have at least 3 years experience across sporting goods, department stores, off-price and club channels.
Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in strategic account management, key account sales, or business development within consumer products, retail, or related industries. Strong skills in sales planning, forecasting, and pipeline management, with the ability to set and achieve measurable revenue and profitability targets. Proficiency in relationship-building, negotiation, and customer communication, including presenting to buyers and senior stakeholders. Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and account performance, and translate insights into actionable strategies and recommendations. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as product development, operations, and marketing to deliver integrated solutions for accounts. Comfort with CRM systems and common sales tools, plus strong skills in Excel, Power Point, and other standard business software. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple accounts and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Background in outdoor, work, sports, or lifestyle accessories markets is beneficial. Ability to work on-site in Chesterfield, MO, and travel to customer locations, trade shows
