About the role

Our client, a fast-growing, private equity-backed specialty insurance MGA platform, is seeking a VP of Capacity & Reinsurance to lead the sourcing, structuring, and ongoing management of insurance and reinsurance capacity across its portfolio of MGA programs. The role will develop and manage relationships with carriers, fronting partners, reinsurers, Lloyd’s syndicates, and reinsurance brokers; lead capacity placements and renewals; structure primary, quota-share, excess-of-loss, and funds-withheld arrangements; and negotiate PAAs, fronting agreements, and reinsurance treaty terms. This individual will also partner with underwriting, actuarial, legal, finance, corporate development, and MGA leadership to support existing programs, acquisitions, and de novo launches. Candidates must have at least 7 years of specialty insurance or reinsurance experience, including direct experience with MGA capacity placements, treaty reinsurance, and fronting arrangements. Strong relationships across the carrier, reinsurance, fronting, and/or Lloyd’s markets are essential, along with experience structuring treaties and negotiating PAAs and related commercial terms. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced reinsurance professional to take on a visible, platform-wide leadership role and help support the continued expansion of a highly acquisitive MGA platform. Position is fully remote! Contact Colin Morgan or Stacy St. Onge to learn more.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
