About the role

Candidate must be a Colorado resident We are assisting our client in identifying a top performing candidate for the following role :The Director of Accounting will oversee general ledger accounting, operational accounting, cash and treasury and tax, while maintaining and supporting a timely month-end close. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES· Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.· Ensure compliance with US GAAP .· Establish reconciliation standards and monitor completion against close deadlines.· Maintain the general ledger · Lead and develop the accounting team, including general ledger, payroll, and accounts payable staff.· Monitor vendor relationships, payment terms, and aging reports, and resolve outstanding items.· Oversee daily cash accounting activities, and review and approve bank reconciliations.· Partner with Treasury on cash forecasting and liquidity reporting.
Experience required:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.· 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.· 5+ years of supervisory experience· Strong knowledge of US GAAP.· Experience leading month-end close.· Experience managing general ledger, accounts payable, and cash accounting.· Experience implementing accounting process improvements and automation.· Experience with ERP systems· CPAPublic accounting experience strongly preferred$150-$165K plus bonus and equity
