With our continued growth and mission focus, we are looking to add a Leave & Benefits Coordinator to our team.
Position Summary: Are you an experienced HR professional with a strong background in leave administration and a passion for supporting employees? We're looking for a Leave & Benefits Coordinator to serve as a key point of contact for employees and managers throughout the leave process while also supporting Workers' Compensation activities and benefits administration. In this role, you'll play an important part in ensuring a positive employee experience while maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. You'll work closely with employees, managers, insurance carriers, medical providers, attorneys, and internal stakeholders to ensure leave and Workers' Compensation matters are handled accurately and efficiently.
Essential Job Duties: Administer and track FMLA, PFML, PFL, disability, parental, personal, and other leave programs Monitor leave eligibility, documentation requirements, and return-to-work dates Communicate with employees and managers regarding leave status, eligibility, documentation, and return-to-work requirements Coordinate Workers' Compensation claims, including documentation, claim status, lost-time tracking, and reporting Serve as a liaison between employees, managers, insurance carriers, third-party administrators, medical providers, attorneys, and internal stakeholders Support Workers' Compensation claim management, including medical records, treatment status, billing inquiries, claim-related expenses, and claim resolution activities Assist with return-to-work efforts, including work restrictions, accommodations, medical releases, and transitional duty assignments Provide backup support to the Benefits Manager for health and welfare benefits and retirement programs Identify opportunities to improve processes, compliance, efficiency, and the overall employee experience Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information
Position Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of experience in leave administration Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, disability leave, and multi-state leave requirements Workers' Compensation experience preferred Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to communicate professionally with employees, managers, medical providers, attorneys, insurance carriers, and other external partners Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion Self-starter with strong initiative, accountability, and sense of urgency Exceptional customer service skills Bilingual abilities preferred The expected hiring range for this position is $65,000- $75,000 a year, commensurate with experience and location.
