Role Description: The Human Resources Payroll Manager is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing accurate and timely payroll processing for assigned employee groups. This role manages payroll operations, including wage calculations, deductions, benefits-related adjustments, and compliance with relevant laws and company policies. The Human Resources Payroll Manager collaborates with HR, finance, and leadership to resolve payroll issues, support audits, and maintain payroll records and reporting. Daily activities include responding to employee payroll inquiries, implementing process improvements, and ensuring data integrity across HR and payroll systems. This role also supports HR initiatives related to compensation, benefits administration, and employee lifecycle changes that affect payroll.
Qualifications: Human Resources (HR) and HR Management skills to oversee payroll processes, coordinate with HR teams, and support broader people operations. Experience with Employee Benefits and Employee Relations to manage payroll impacts of benefits and address pay-related employee concerns. Strong understanding of HR Policies and payroll regulations to ensure compliance with company standards and applicable laws. Proficiency with payroll and HRIS systems, data analysis, and Microsoft Office tools; experience with timekeeping and accounting systems is beneficial. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote, part-time environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain payroll concepts clearly to employees and stakeholders. Prior experience in payroll management or HR roles, preferably in a large or global organization; experience in the automotive or manufacturing sector is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
