About the role
This role involves providing engineering support for mechanical equipment, conducting tolerance studies, and checking design documentation. The Drafter will collaborate with engineers to research and specify purchased components, as well as create test plans and fixtures. This position offers the chance to engage in diverse design projects within a collaborative team environment focused on customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide engineering support on mechanical equipment by conducting tolerance studies and verifying design documentation. Research and specify purchased component parts to ensure they meet project requirements and standards. Create component and system level test plans and develop test fixtures to validate design performance. Assist engineers in calculations and support design projects by conceptualizing mechanical design solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 1 year of mechanical engineering experience in a relevant role. E.I.T. Engineer APEGA Certified to ensure professional standards. Proficient in 2D and 3D engineering software, specifically AutoCAD and Solid Works.
