About the role
- Evaluate and treat patients with a variety of upper-extremity injuries, conditions, and functional limitations
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings
- Provide post-surgical rehabilitation and recovery programs
- Fabricate and fit custom orthoses/splints as clinically appropriate
- Utilize evidence-based treatment techniques to improve range of motion, strength, coordination, and function
- Educate patients on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and self-management
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Help patients return to work, daily activities, hobbies, and other meaningful occupations
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certification preferred/required
- Strong knowledge of upper-extremity anatomy, rehabilitation, and treatment techniques
- Experience with post-operative care and custom orthosis fabrication
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team
