About the role

Packaging Designer Our client who is a Big Box Retailer is seeking a skilled Packaging Designer to join its team at the new San Diego office. This is a chance to work with a great team and an established brand that offers a good work environment. This is a full-time, on-site 4 days a week and remote Fridays. The position based in the Kearny Mesa area of San Diego Contract to Hire The Packaging Designer will support a broad range of product categories, including seasonal, home furnishings, apparel, domestics, cookware, and hardware. This person will bring strong packaging design experience and the ability to manage projects from initial concept through final production-ready files. Responsibilities include developing packaging concepts and layouts, creating and updating dielines, incorporating photography and AI-generated imagery, specifications, and artwork for product packaging. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This is an opportunity to step into an established role and make an immediate impact across a diverse product assortment. Candidates must provide a portfolio with packaging samples.
