This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment including but not limited to hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leave of absence, compensation, and training.DescriptionARMADA INC.POSITION DESCRIPTIONTITLE: Level II NDT Inspector (Ultrasonic)REPORTS TO: Lead NDT InspectorFLSA STATUS: Non-ExemptPAY RANGE: $40.00-$50.00 per hour DOEEmployees are eligible for a $5,000.00 bonus if certification in all methods is achieved within 90 days of employment start date.FT / PT STATUS: Full TimeLOCATION: Shipyard(s) & Customer Facilities SUMMARYResponsible for performing, evaluating and documenting the results of VT, PT, MT and UT inspections on surface ships and submarine structures / piping systems.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPerform NDT inspections using methods such as visual testing (VT), liquid penetrant testing (PT), magnetic particle testing (MT) and ultrasonic testing (UT)Calibrate and operate NDT equipment to ensure accurate and reliable resultsMaintain and troubleshoot inspection equipment as neededConduct quality control checks on materials and componentsVerify compliance with industry standards and specificationsAnalyze and interpret inspection data to identify defects, anomalies, or discontinuitiesRecord and maintain comprehensive documentation of inspection procedures, results, and findingsEnsure all documentation meets regulatory and internal standardsAdhere to and promote safety protocols during inspection activitiesCollaborate with the project team to plan and execute inspectionsPerforms other related duties as assigned by Lead NDT InspectorSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYNoneKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & ATTRIBUTESFamiliarity with various industry codes, standards, and specificationsProficiency in operating and calibrating NDT equipment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to produce clear and concise inspection reports.In-depth knowledge of safety protocols in NDT inspections.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHighschool Diploma or equivalentLevel II NDT certification in all methods (VT, PT, MT and UT)Additional certifications such as ASNT Level II or equivalent are highly desirable.OSHA 10 (Company may provide)WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSRegularly exposed to extreme temperatures, high noise levels, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, dusty conditions, wet and/or humid conditions, hazardous machineryProlonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, twisting, squattingAbility to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50+ pounds (50 lbs occasionally, 25 lbs frequently, 10 lbs constantly)Lifting includes from floor to waist, waist to shoulder, waist to overheadAbility to climb stairs and laddersSome travel requiredEQUIPMENT USEDPersonal computer and associated office equipmentVT, PT, MT and UT inspection equipmentCalibrated measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.)Industrial fall protection systems as required (company will provide training)*This is a general list and is not all inclusiveREASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONSAccommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functionsLocationSeattle, WA Salary RangeExempt/Non-ExemptNon-Exempt This position is currently accepting applications.
