What You'll Be Doing: Carrying out patient treatment plans in line with state board guidelines and the supervising therapist's plan of care Serving as a core member of the treatment team for every patient on your caseload Helping shape treatment progressions as patients advance through their care Keeping clear, timely communication with physicians, clinic staff, and other departments Answering patient questions and resolving concerns to deliver an excellent care experience Recording treatment notes and patient information accurately in the electronic medical record Identifying patients who are at risk of falls, high risk, or struggling with compliance Following clinic policies, OSHA standards, and infection control protocols Supporting the training and development of Physical Therapy Technicians Protecting patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
What You'll Bring: Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program Active PTA certification in the state of practice (Arizona)At least 1 year of experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting, or equivalent Solid understanding of physical therapy principles and equipment Strong communication and coaching skills, with the ability to adapt to different learning styles Sound judgment and problem-solving ability Comfort working with patients of all ages, backgrounds, and physical abilities Confidence using computer systems for clinical documentationA team-first mindset and genuine care for patients and colleagues
