About the role

Responsibilities: This position is primarily responsible for leading the technical evaluation, design, and execution of renewable energy projects. Serve as technical lead for renewable and onsite generation and BESS opportunities Serve as main POC/project manager for all engineering related project activities Manage relationship with third party engineering firms, review design specifications and ensure compliance with technical specifications Work collaboratively with operations on project execution from beginning of project through commercial operation Support the preparation of sales proposals, identify project financing, and prepare contracts Conduct site visits to determine optimal design/layout Research technology trends and advancements Assist with technology and building audits to evaluate energy use, cost savings, and conservation measures Mentor and train junior team members Travel as needed
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college 3-5 years of engineering experience in design, energy modeling, project management or construction Experience in renewable energy industry/BESS preferredCEM, NABCEP, PE Certification preferred, but not required Strong understanding of energy technologies and principles of power generation, renewable energy, and energy recovery technologies Experienced in technical sales dealing with key decision makers Experience reviewing engineering design packages and knowledgeable on standards, codes, and business practices Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Strong written/verbal communication skills
