With top clients to boast about, Synechron has a global workforce of 14,500+, and has 58 offices in 21 countries within key global markets.We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to support a large-scale Data and Marketing Technology transformation initiative within a complex enterprise environment. The primary focus of this role is Data Engineering, with strong hands-on expertise in Apache Spark/Databricks, SQL, and Data Modeling. The engineer will design and develop scalable data pipelines, transformation frameworks, and integration solutions across enterprise applications and cloud-based data platforms.The role will also involve REST APIs and system integrations as part of building end-to-end data solutions. Experience with marketing technology platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) is beneficial but not requiredKey Responsibilities:Design, develop, and support data pipelines, integrations, and reusable technical capabilities across marketing technology platforms.Build and maintain APIs, data services, and system integrations between marketing platforms, enterprise applications, and cloud-based data environments.Partner with business and technology stakeholders to improve data quality, operational processes, governance controls, and platform performance.Develop technical documentation, solution designs, architecture artifacts, and operational procedures.Support platform modernization efforts, including automation, standardization, security, observability, and operational excellence.Identify and resolve technology, data, and integration issues through root-cause analysis and remediation.Establish and promote engineering best practices, technical standards, and governance processes.Collaborate across architecture, security, risk, and delivery teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and compliance requirementsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, integration engineering, or platform engineering roles.Strong experience developing and supporting distributed data processing solutions using Apache Spark, Databricks, or similar data engineering technologies.Experience designing and implementing REST APIs, event-driven integrations, and enterprise integration patterns.Proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts.Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformation frameworks.Experience working in cloud environments and modern data platforms.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), including data extensions, automation frameworks, journeys, APIs, and platform administration.Experience with AMPscript, SSJS, Automation Studio, Cloud Pages, or related SFMC technologies.Experience with Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, or similar cloud-native data platforms.Experience designing scalable enterprise data and integration architectures.Understanding of security, risk, compliance, and governance requirements within regulated environments.Experience supporting large-scale customer engagement, digital marketing, or customer data platforms.Knowledge of CI/CD, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and operational support practices.Success FactorsAbility to independently drive complex technical initiatives from analysis through implementation.Strong partnership and influence skills across business and technology stakeholders.Focus on operational excellence, platform reliability, and sustainable engineering practices.Proven track record of delivering scalable solutions in complex enterprise environments.
