About the role

Specialty: Family Nurse Practitioner (Focus on Acute/Urgent Care)
Location: Arlington, VA (Crystal City & North Arlington)
Schedule: Full-Time (36-40 Hours/Week via 2.5-3 Shifts) or Part-Time; Zero Call Vista Medical Center, a clinician-owned private practice established in 2010, is expanding its urgent care team across its premier Arlington locations to meet escalating community demand. This opportunity offers experienced Family Nurse Practitioners true clinical autonomy to helm their own site day-to-day, reinforced by the close-knit, highly accessible support of founding clinician leadership. Clinical Autonomy & Acute Scope : Lead on-site patient encounters across an acute urgent care spectrum-complemented by occasional young adult primary care-serving active working professionals, local families, and a predominantly commercial payer base with same day sick visits, acute visit, and routine minor procedures. Supportive & Collaborative Leadership : Operate with full day-to-day site leadership while enjoying immediate, hands-on clinical collaboration from nearby founding partners who provide rapid remote consults and on-site procedural backup whenever complex cases arise. Operational Efficiency & Modern Diagnostics : Maximize direct patient interaction through dedicated Medical Assistant support handling intake, vitals, and administrative workflow, paired with on-site x-ray and rapid testing. Work-Life Synergy & Compressed Shifts : Capitalize on an ultra-efficient shift model that delivers full-time earnings in just 2.5 to 3 shifts per week, leaving four full days off each week with absolutely zero after-hours call. Two weekend shifts per month are expected, with weekday hours reduced accordingly.
Competitive Compensation & Benefits: Enjoy a competitive base hourly compensation structure with a comprehensive benefits suite, including paid time off, CME reimbursement, health insurance, malpractice coverage, licensure and DEA reimbursement, and retirement planning, and more. QualificationsExperience : Minimum of 2+ years of clinical experience required in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, or a similar environment. Proven procedural competence in minor urgent care interventions (e.g., laceration repair/suturing, I&Ds, and wound care) is essential.
Licensure & Certification: State licensure and board certification are required. Active Virginia Autonomous Practice license strongly preferred (or eligibility to obtain one).
Language Skills: Conversational or fluent Spanish skills are highly advantageous, though not required. Regulatory Compliance : Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations. Clinical Excellence & Patient Care : Must possess sharp diagnostic acumen, demonstrate strong composure as a solo on-site provider, and champion compassionate, patient-centered bedside manner. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
