Senior Full Stack Software Engineer: Telehealth + Ecommerce (Startup, High Ownership, AI-Forward)
About the Role:
Enhance. MD is a telehealth company operating two consumer platforms: one providing GLP-1 weight management and longevity care, the other focused on women's health and biomarker-driven care. We’re a fast-paced startup building a team of passionate, self-starting, talented individuals who want to contribute to the telehealth + ecommerce space. We're bringing this role in-house to take direct, hands-on ownership of that codebase from our outside development team. You'll be the person who actually knows how the system works: everything from product SKUs, intakes, orders, subscriptions, dashboards, and the AI features layered on top of them. You will continue to build and ship new ecommerce and AI-powered features while maintaining what is already live for real patients. This is an individual contributor role. You won't be managing a team, but you will be trusted with real architectural judgment: knowing when to refactor and when to take a new approach – your ideas are welcome and will be relied on for decision making. What You’ll Work On 1. Building New Features Work alongside Product and Marketing teams to scope and prioritize high impact features Design and implement a clean, scalable patient-facing featuring Work within the core systems across ecommerce + telehealth workflows Deliver strong foundations (APIs, data models, services) where they are missing Integrate AI-powered features into real product workflows 2. Stabilizing & Improving the Existing Platform Work across a live system with real users and real complexity Debug issues across services, data flows, and integrations Partner with customer support and operations to resolve dev-related issues quickly Identify root causes behind recurring issues and reduce requests through systemic fixes 3. We are looking for someone who can: Be comfortable using a variety of AI tools, open to adopting new ones Know when to prototype quickly versus apply engineering rigor Be excited about using AI to improve both development speed and product capabilities Technical Skills Core Stack Microservices Architecture - FastAPI (Python) and ASP.NET Core (C#) UI - React/NextJS, TypeScript Backend Databases: Redis, PostgreSQL Cloud Environment: GCP, Container Apps, IaaC (TF), GitHub Actions AI Development: Azure Foundry with Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Agent Framework AI Native Development Practices: Includes Skill development, AI Agent Development, Obsidian AI Brain Software Engineering Skills You understand of Microservices architecture and multi-tenant platform design You understand pub-sub and eventual consistency models You understand DDD (Domain-Driven Design) and Software Architecture principles such as ACL (Anti-Corruption Layer), Events-Driven design, Ports & Adapter design You understand AI-native development and can develop AI agents and skills to assist in daily workflows You understand the 12 Factor Framework for Software Development Nice to have: experience working with Saleor Security & Compliance Experience or strong awareness of: HIPAA / healthcare data handling Data privacy and security best practices Understands how to: Handle sensitive data safely Make pragmatic tradeoffs between speed and compliance Design secure systems without over-engineering Success Criteria You’ll know you’re succeeding when: Work is delivered with clarity, minimal rework, and aligned to business priorities The new platform is being built cleanly and efficiently The existing system becomes more stable and easier to work with Architecture becomes simpler over time Engineering workflows, standards, and testing are clearly defined and adopted The team ships faster with fewer regressions Why Join High ownership and high impact as you shape both the system and the team Ability to closely work with business stakeholders and impact the direction of development Work on real-world complexity across healthcare, ecommerce, and AI Direct influence on architecture, standards, and product direction A team that values speed, pragmatism, and getting things done
