Description: Special Education Teacher (Please click here to view job description) Cheyenne Mountain District 12 is seeking an Elementary Special Education Teacher This position addresses current student needs at specific schools. If the current schools should experience a change in student needs, the individuals filling these positions may be required to change locations to another school where needs are demonstrated. This could occur at any time during the school year. Candidate should have a strong background in instructional strategies and programming for elementary students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's (Baccalaureate) degree (e.g., B.A., A.B., B.S.), meets subject, grade level, and/or content area qualifications consistent with Colorado Department of Education and Cheyenne Mountain District 12 requirements
  • Elementary Special Education Teacher must have READ Act designation or be in the process of obtaining
  • Must possess or be eligible for a Special Education Generalist License (5-21) or Endorsement
  • Criminal background check required for hireFTE: 1.0Workdays Per Year: 182
Salary: $52,300 - $78,918 Licensed Salary Schedule
