Role Description: The Human Resources Manager/Specialist is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing HR operations for a small behavioral health practice. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing recruitment and onboarding processes, preparing and maintaining employment documentation, and coordinating staff training and development activities. The role will handle HR policies and procedures, support compliance with employment laws and regulations, and assist with performance management and employee relations. The HR Manager/Specialist will also manage HR records, support payroll and benefits administration in collaboration with external vendors or accounting resources, and advise leadership on best practices for building a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess experience in core human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations. Candidates should possess skills in HR documentation and compliance, such as maintaining accurate records, creating policies and procedures, and supporting adherence to labor laws and confidentiality standards. Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to handle sensitive information professionally and collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff. Candidates should possess organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, work independently in a remote setting, and meet deadlines in a part-time capacity. Relevant qualifications such as experience in healthcare or behavioral health settings, familiarity with HIPAA requirements, and prior work in small or private practice environments are beneficial. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, is preferred; HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.
