About the role
Sterile Processing Technician Schedule12pm - 8:30pm, with call/lates and weekend requirements (1 need) 3pm - 11pm, with call/lates and weekend requirements (2 needs) Assignment Details Contract length and guaranteed hours/week details will be provided.
Requirements:
2 years of Central Sterile/Sterile Processing experience Must have prior travel experienceCBSPD or HSPA certification (Required)BLS certification (Required)
Responsibilities:
Cleans and decontaminates surgical instruments and other medical equipment following manufacturer's Instructions For Use (IFU).Inspects, assembles, packages, and sterilizes medical devices following manufacturer's IFUs.
Operates automated washers, ultrasonic, cart washers, and sterilizers according to manufacturer's IFUs.
Inspects surgical instrumentation during tray assembly to ensure proper functioning and cleanliness.
Pulls surgical case carts for add-ons and/or emergency cases.
Effectively communicates with other staff members to facilitate all instrument and supply needs in a timely manner.
Completes daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of all areas of the department, signing off on cleaning logs and product
duties may be assigned as necessary to facilitate the functions of the department.
