About the role
- A record of academic and professional excellence8 to 12 or more years of experience managing corporate event programs, preferably at a private investment firm
- Event strategy:experience building multi-quarter event calendars aligned to business priorities, rather than executing individual events in isolation
- Sourcing and vendor management:experience selecting and managing event vendors and negotiating contracts and rates
- Budget ownership:responsibility for event budgets, with a clear point of view on how spend should be planned, allocated, and evaluated
- Measurement:experience defining KPIs for events and reporting outcomes to senior stakeholders
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Guest experience and creativity:thinks past the logistics to what an attendee will actually remember
- Business partnership:earns the trust of senior stakeholders and translates a business objective into the right format, audience, and agenda
- Attention to detail and organization:exceptionally precise and process-oriented; manages many concurrent programs and delivers under tight deadlines
- Judgment and discretion:makes sound decisions under time pressure and handles confidential investor and Firm information appropriately
- Composure and resourcefulness:steady when plans change on-site, and quick to find the workable alternative
