Why This Role Matters MissionHires is seeking a senior Head of Investor Relations for an Investment Holding Company to lead capital formation and investor relations across its alternative asset management platform. This executive will define fundraising strategy, expand relationships with family offices across Latin America, the United States, and Europe, and build the systems, processes, and team needed to create a best-in-class fundraising organization. The role will coordinate capital formation teams across affiliated managers on a matrix basis and serve as a senior adviser to executive and investment leadership. How You'll Contribute Develop and execute fundraising plans for funds and investment vehicles managed by the fund's affiliated alternative asset managers. Build, manage, and expand a pipeline of family office investors across Latin America, the United States, and Europe. Lead the full investor engagement process, from prospect identification and outreach through meetings, diligence, commitment, and ongoing relationship development. Conduct regular investor travel and in-person meetings across target markets. Use investor feedback to inform fundraising priorities, positioning, and the development of future investment offerings. Design and implement platform-wide fundraising infrastructure, including standardized processes, prospecting methodology, CRM and pipeline management, investor reporting, and data room standards. Coordinate fundraising priorities, investor coverage, and outreach across the fund and its affiliated alternative asset managers. Oversee the preparation and maintenance of investor presentations, fund materials, diligence materials, and data room content with relevant internal teams. Establish disciplined tracking of investor relationships, fundraising pipelines, next steps, and expected timing across the platform. Provide executive leadership with regular updates on fundraising activity, investor feedback, opportunities, risks, and issues requiring attention. Partner with legal and compliance advisers to ensure fundraising activities and investor communications meet applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies. Serve as a senior point of contact for prospective and existing investors, including family principals, investment executives, and advisers. Work with investment teams to communicate strategy, track record, and portfolio information clearly and credibly to investor audiences. Maintain consistent platform messaging while preserving the distinct strategies and track records of each affiliated manager. Define the long-term capital raising strategy for the fund and its affiliated managers, including the evolution from family office to institutional investor channels. Lead capital formation and investor relations teams across affiliated managers on a matrix basis, aligning priorities, sharing best practices, and ensuring consistent standards. Assess current capabilities, define team structure and coverage needs, recruit talent, and develop the capital formation and investor relations function as it scales. Foster effective collaboration among executive, investment, finance, legal, and investor relations teams across multiple jurisdictions.
What Makes You a Great Fit: 15+ years of relevant experience in fundraising, investor relations, or capital formation. Demonstrated success raising capital from family offices, including a proven record of converting relationships into fund commitments. Established relationships within the family office community in Latin America, the United States, and/or Europe. Strong working knowledge of the institutional investor landscape and institutional due diligence standards. Fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish. Experience fundraising for private funds or alternative investment strategies. Ability to understand and explain technology, sports and entertainment, private equity, and infrastructure investment strategies. Experience leading fundraising processes from investor identification and outreach through diligence and closing. Experience building fundraising infrastructure, including processes, prospecting discipline, CRM and pipeline systems, and investor reporting. Experience leading and developing investor relations or capital formation teams, ideally across multiple entities or investment strategies. Exceptional communication skills and senior executive presence when engaging family principals, investment executives, and advisers. Ability to coordinate across multiple investment teams, strategies, and jurisdictions while maintaining clear priorities and strong follow-through. Sound judgment in handling confidential investor information and operating within applicable fundraising and marketing requirements. Willingness and ability to travel regularly across target markets.
