About the role
Summary:
This is an entry-level position to learn the process of assembly and installation of pipes in units by performing the following duties in reasonable and productive frames:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/8th inch. Must be able to follow verbal instructions. Must be able to use hand tools. Cuts, threads, and bends pipe with a Hydraulic Pipe Bender and manual bender tool. Assembles and installs variety of metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes, and fittings; including iron, steel, copper and plastic. Ability to use acetylene and oxygen torch set. Read and interpret documents such as a layout drawing, bills of material, piping diagrams. Use of appropriate PPE (e.g., Infrared-filtering safety glasses, flame-resistant gloves, sleeves, and shirt).Train and work in multiple types of manufacturing positions (i.e. assembly, paint, wire and weld).Other duties as assigned.

Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: N/ALanguage Skills: Ability to speak effectively to employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high precarious places; outside weather conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
