Job DescriptionEssential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Project Controls Manager will work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver intelligent solutions that ensure quality project delivery for the Airport Facility project team. Responsible for project reporting, controls activities that include planning/scheduling, cost engineering, cost estimating, cost analysis/controls activities, and change management.
Knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance with construction/project requirements
Management of project controls, cost, and performance activities and procedures, project logistics, organization, systems and project closeout
Directs cost estimating, analysis and control activities
Directs schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, impact identification, and recovery plan development activities
Supports project meetings to include documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information and statuses
May assist in coordinating and monitoring activities of construction management staff, contractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities
May assist in performing construction contract correspondence, document and plan control function, input data into required project information system, and prepare management information status report, as required
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering is preferred
3+ years of experience providing project/program controls and construction management services on large Public Facility projects/programs
Knowledge and experience with Scheduling (CPM), project controls management, claims, and document control
Knowledge and experience with construction management procedures, means, and methods
Good communication, writing and computer skills are essential
Ability to work with others, a self-starter with results-driven focus
Proven accuracy, reliability and completeness in job accomplishment.
Demonstrated success on the job, as evidenced by satisfactory performance, acceptance of responsibility and growth in previous position
Effective oral and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex issues to a non-technical audience
Experience interfacing with Architects, Engineers, General Contractors and Sub-Contractors
Experience with Suretrack, Microsoft Project, Primavera, or other construction document and project management systems is preferred
Experience with Design/Build (DB), and other alternative project delivery methods, preferred
CCM, PMP or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred
May assume other duties as required/needed
Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $135,000.00-$155,000.00.
