Position Summary: The Data Center Superintendent is responsible for leading field operations on mission-critical construction projects, ensuring all work is executed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with contract documents. This role oversees trade coordination, site logistics, and installation of complex MEP systems, with a strong focus on quality and commissioning readiness.
Key Responsibilities: Field Leadership Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through turnover Supervisors subcontractors, foremen, and field engineers Maintain project schedule and drive productivity to meet milestoneenforce site safety in line with OSHA regulations and company standard Trade & MEP Coordination Coordinate multiple trades, with heavy focus on electrical and mechanical system Manage installation of critical infrastructure (UPS, generators, switchgear, CRAC/CRAH units Ensure proper sequencing between CSA and MEP scope Resolve field conflicts and technical issues in real time Commissioning & Turnoversupport commissioning phases including pre-functional testing, functional testing, and IST (Integrated Systems Testing)Work closely with commissioning agents and client teamensure systems are installed per design and ready for energizationdrive punch list completion and project closeout Planning & Reportingpartner with Project Manager and Scheduler to maintain project timelineconduct daily huddles, weekly coordination meetings, and subcontractor planning sessionstack progress, identify risks, and implement recovery plan Client & Stakeholder Managementserve as the primary on-site contact for clients, inspectors, and consultant Lead coordination meetings and communicate project update Maintain strong relationships with all project stakeholder Qualification Experience 5–15+ years of construction experience, with Superintendent or Senior Superintendent experience preferredstrong background in data centers, mission-critical, or large-scale MEP-heavy project Experience with hyperscale clients (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, Google) is a plus
