About the role

Energy Solutions & Business Development Manager We're seeking an experienced energy professional who combines technical engineering knowledge with business development and customer-facing project experience. This role will work with commercial and industrial customers to identify energy-saving opportunities, develop solutions, build project economics, and help move opportunities from initial discussions through contract.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop customer relationships and identify new energy project opportunities
  • Partner with sales teams throughout the business development process
  • Evaluate facilities and identify potential energy-saving measures
  • Develop solutions involving HVAC, chillers, boilers, central plants, compressed air, and industrial equipment
  • Prepare energy savings calculations, project economics, scopes, and proposals
  • Present technical solutions and financial benefits directly to customers
  • Support RFPs, pricing, proposals, and contract discussions
  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, and project delivery partners
  • Review energy audits, designs, calculations, and technical deliverables
  • Support projects through contract and transition to implementation
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years within energy services, energy efficiency, building systems, or related markets
  • Experience with business development, technical sales, or project development
  • Strong knowledge of commercial/industrial HVAC and mechanical systems
  • Experience with energy savings calculations and project economics
  • Strong customer-facing and presentation skills
  • Understanding of M&V, ASHRAE standards, and commercial construction
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related fieldESCO, Energy-as-a-Service, performance contracting, solar, storage, lighting, or building controls experience is a plus. PE or CEM preferred.
