The Washington DC VA Medical Center, located within sight of the Nation's Capitol, is the only health care system that specifically provides care to Veterans. Offering tertiary care in a Complexity Level IA hospital, allows ours staff to provide comprehensive primary and specialty care in medicine, surgery, neurology and psychiatry. The medical center has 175 acute care beds, 30 Psychosocial Residential Rehabilitation Treatment beds, and a 20-suite Fisher House. Overview: (Duties Include But Are Not Limited) Utilizes radionuclides and operates radiation detectors, scanning apparatus and related equipment as part of the diagnostic or therapeutic plan for patients having General Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and PET/CT exams to diagnose/treat various functional disorders that require specialized knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
  • Must have ARRT/NMTCB Certification
  • Graduate of accredited Radiology Program as approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Bachelor degree or Associates Degree required. Completion of an accredited sonography program in Echocardiography
Must have one-year experience in General Nuclear Medicine including Bone Density and one-year experience in PET/CTMust have experience with a DSpect Cardiac Camera, Siemens Symbia T Spect Camera, Philips 128 Slice PET/CT Camera, Client Bone Density Scanner and a NMIS Unit Dose Manager.
