About the role
Field Technician These individuals will each be assigned to a ward within the city of Chicago. They will be transported from the Warehouse to the assigned ward on Election Day morning with an assigned driver, phone/radio, and additional supplies for precincts within their assigned ward. They will stop at all precincts within the ward to check if there are any issues or if supplies are needed. They will also respond to problems at precincts dispatched to them by phone Dispatchers. There are 50 wards consisting of anywhere from 23 to 57 precincts. Duties include lifting to 30 lbs. and working up to 20 hours on Election Day.
Note:
They will be assigned a driver, and they can't use it for personal use and cannot drive by themselves. The person needs to be adaptable. Personnel Conduct Requirements (For all the jobs add this 4 jobs) Workers are allowed to wear casual attire. Jeans, knee-length shorts, work boots and gym shoes are acceptable. Personnel assigned to work on the Dock or pushing ESC's are required to wear steel-toe boots. No political rhetoric or profanity on clothing, ripped jeans, open-toe shoes, or Crocs. Smoking is permitted ONLY outside the facility located at 1819 West Temporary Staffing Central Office Headquarters & Warehouse RFP Pershing Street and must occur at least 15 feet away from the entrance. Workers are not allowed to have mobile devices on their person while on the production floor. This includes the use of headphones or Bluetooth devices. Workers are not allowed to sleep in the Warehouse at any time. Workers should only eat and drink in designated areas. Never on the production floor. The manager and assistant manager will be providing employee schedules.
