Job Description
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Receive and open incoming mail
  • Sort incoming mail by specified criteria
  • Distribute incoming mail by utilizing central department mailbox system
  • Receive and process outgoing mail utilizing mail equipmentMaintain mailing equipmentMaintain inventory of mailing products
  • Meet deadlines established by senior staff on the processing of incoming and outgoing mail
  • Provide specific returned mail to designated departments for further research
  • Occasional overtime may be required
  • Occasional work on the weekend may be required
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail
High school diploma or GED02 years of experience working in a mail department, mail processing center, distribution environment, or other fast-paced operational setting. Experience with mail distribution, USPS, courier services, shipping/receiving, or package handling is a plus.
