We're hiring a Material Handler in Huron, SD! This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door, learn new skills, work with a variety of equipment, and build a career. Training is provided, overtime is available, and there is room to advance!
Job Duties:
  • Assist customers with unloading scrap metal from vehicles and trailers
  • Sort and separate metals by type and place materials in designated areas
  • Weigh materials accurately using a scale
  • Complete customer tickets and documentation accurately
  • Prepare metals for processing using shredders, shears, and other equipment
  • Operate and work around heavy equipment and machinery
  • Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Learn to safely operate equipment including cranes, forklifts, and a BobcatFollow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For:
  • Reliable and dependable work history
  • Comfortable working outdoors and in a hands-on environment
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and sort materials
  • Willingness to learn and operate various types of equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
