About the role

I am currently looking for a Director or Senior CRO Business Development Director or a for a fantastic mid-sized CRO who are out-performing their competitors, and are on an impressive growth trajectory. They have a very strong name in the market and are picking up more and more work from their competition. They have a very strong footprint across the US/Europe and APAC. They have a very well respected leadership team, a very good culture, and you will be joining a successful BD team who are given all the support and tools they need to succeed. This CRO also has a very impressive clinical team and strong scientific & medical expertise, contributing to strong reputation with clients, resulting in lots of repeat business. They are a full service CRO and have track record across all phases of clinical studies. This role is a remote role based anywhere on the east coast, and is an individual contributor role being responsible for the east coast territory. Depending on where you are located there would be a practical conversation with regards to the geographical area you focus on. This role will be both a hunting role as well as manging existing accounts. This organisation works with both biotechs and pharma, with biotechs being their sweet-spot.
Essential Job Duties: Account Strategist To initiate, coordinate, develop and implement strategic plans, sales strategies and annual forecasts within a specified territory or accounts in conjunction with the BD strategy Coordination and supervising all activities aiming to develop and retain clients, including prospecting, cold calling, in-person sales calls Preparing regular account contact schedule Sales Leadership To achieve and maintain positive and effective client relationships Collaborating in the development and presentation of powerful capabilities and RFIsCreating business opportunities through industry relationships and networks Working with operational colleagues to proactively resolve sponsor issues Represent and advocate Business Development at various company meetings Proposal Leadership Collaboration and coordination with other departments in the analysis and development of the strategy developed in proposals Designing and identifying the most effective presentation team and leading bids defence with clients Negotiate contracts with the customers Marketing activities Represent the company at industry conferences and therapeutic meetings Obtain competitive information such as the strengths/weaknesses of competitive CROsCommunicate industry events and trends to managementBD Reporting activities Familiarity with Territory Planning, Account Plans and CRM reporting tool Tracking, managing and reporting sales activities To apply for this role, please send an up to date cv to jesse.mallett@rbwconsulting.com
