About the role
Be the First to Apply The Track Laborer is responsible for maintenance and repairs of the racetrack surfaces and physical structures in the organization. How You Will Create the Extraordinary Repair pylons and fence as needed Remove and place rail as required Minor carpentry work Minor welding repairs Assist Landscaping staff when required Assist with operations of the equipment/ machinery as needed
What You Will Need:
Must have an outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude. Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must be able to obtain an Indiana Horse Racing License
Additional Requirements:
Responsible for promoting a positive influence in the community and participating in company-sponsored events. Behavior and appearance must be in compliance with established standards. Maintain a professional work environment with management and staff. Frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, climbing steps and sitting.
