About the role

About the Opportunity: Our client, a leading national Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), is seeking an experienced Financial Advisor to join its growing wealth management team in Bethesda, Maryland, or the surrounding Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. This opportunity is designed for an established advisor with a strong history of developing client relationships, growing a book of business, and delivering comprehensive financial planning and investment guidance. A transferable book of business is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of experience building and managing client relationships and is looking for a long-term opportunity with a well-established wealth management platform offering strong resources, infrastructure, and growth potential.
Responsibilities: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals, families, business owners, executives, and other private clients. Provide comprehensive financial planning and wealth management advice based on each client's goals and financial circumstances. Advise clients regarding investment management, retirement planning, estate planning, tax-aware strategies, insurance, and other wealth planning needs. Manage and deepen existing client relationships while identifying opportunities to expand services and assets under management. Generate new client relationships through referrals, professional networks, centers of influence, and business development activities. Conduct regular portfolio and financial plan reviews with clients. Coordinate with investment, planning, tax, estate, insurance, and other specialists to provide integrated wealth management solutions. Maintain a high level of client service, responsiveness, and communication. Ensure client activity and recommendations comply with applicable regulatory and firm requirements. Participate in the continued growth and development of the firm's presence in the Bethesda and greater Washington, D.C. market.
Qualifications: CFP® designation required. 10+ years of financial advisory, wealth management, or financial planning experience. Demonstrated history of developing, growing, and maintaining a book of client relationships. Transferable book of business preferred, but not required. Strong experience working directly with affluent and high-net-worth clients. Proven relationship management and business development capabilities. Strong understanding of investment management and comprehensive financial planning. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop trusted, long-term relationships with clients and professional referral partners. Strong ethical standards and commitment to acting in clients' best interests.
