About the role
TMG & Haartz Solutions is seeking a Raw Materials Purchasing, Logistics & Project Manager to join our growing automotive manufacturing operation in Bostic, NC.This is an exciting opportunity to help build our raw-material supply chain, supplier network, logistics processes, and materials strategy from the ground up as our facility grows.
What You’ll Do:
Lead raw-material purchasing, sourcing, supplier qualification, and supplier management. Serve as a key U.S. connection between our Bostic facility and our Development Centre and Purchasing teams in Portugal. Manage RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, pricing, lead times, transportation, and total landed cost. Coordinate domestic and international logistics, customs, imports, and Incoterms. Monitor inventory, forecasts, material requirements, supplier lead times, and potential shortages. Lead raw-material activities for new product development, localization, industrialization, supplier transfers, and plant projects. Coordinate suppliers and cross-functional teams across Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Production, Finance, and Logistics. Identify supply-chain risks and develop contingency, dual-sourcing, and supplier-localization strategies. Track project milestones, risks, deliverables, and production-readiness activities. Develop and improve purchasing, logistics, inventory, and supplier-management processes as the plant grows.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Industrial Management, or related field.5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, logistics, materials management, or manufacturing. Experience with supplier management and purchasing, preferably raw materials. Experience with international purchasing, imports, customs, and logistics. Knowledge of U.S. customs, international trade, and Incoterms. Strong project-management, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to evaluate costs, quotations, lead times, transportation, duties, and total landed cost. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with U.S. and international teams. ERP/purchasing system and Microsoft Office experience. Automotive, chemical, textile, coated-material, plastics, or other manufacturing experience is preferred. Why Join TMG & Haartz Solutions?
