About the role
Do you value scientific rigor, long-term relationships, and working alongside the best in the field? My client offers scientists genuine latitude to pursue creative endeavors and true research. My client seeks a Computational Protein Engineer to build and lead hands-on experimental programs while leveraging computational tools to accelerate and inform design cycles. The ideal candidate will take on the following responsibilities: Lead experimental design and execution of antibody and protein engineering programs including affinity maturation, multi-specific antibody development, and de novo binder design Drive protein expression, purification, and characterization workflows across multiple formats Design and execute binding and functional assays to evaluate and iterate on engineered proteins Collaborate with structural biologists and computational scientists to integrate structural insights into experimental programs Apply computational tools such as AlphaFold and Rosetta to support and inform wet lab strategies The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, protein biochemistry, or related discipline plus 2+ years of industry experience Hands-on expertise in protein expression, purification, and characterization Experience with antibody engineering formats including bispecifics, nanobodies, or related modalities Peer-reviewed publications and/or patents in antibody or protein engineering Familiarity with computational design tools (AlphaFold, Rosetta, ProteinMPNN) a plus Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex, multi-faceted projects Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
