- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and engineering specifications
- Perform GMAW spray transfer welding and other required welding processes
- Use plasma cutting and oxy/fuel cutting equipment
- Lay out, fit, and fabricate fixtures and specialized steel components
- Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for quality and compliance with applicable AWS standards
- Use fabrication tools and equipment safely and accurately
- Assist with equipment maintenance and general shop operations
- Maintain an organized work area and follow established shop safety procedures
- Work on your feet for extended periods in an industrial fabrication environment
- Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds
