Job Purpose: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN IV Certified) delivers safe, high-quality patient care by effectively implementing physician orders, supporting care planning, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and contributing to positive patient outcomes. This role partners with providers and the healthcare team to ensure timely interventions, continuity of care, and adherence to clinical standards.
Key Performance Responsibilities: Recognize and respond promptly to emergent patient situations, initiating appropriate interventions to support positive patient outcomes. Ensure diagnostic tests and studies are completed accurately and within established timelines to facilitate effective treatment planning. Monitor laboratory and radiology results, escalate abnormal findings to providers, and support timely clinical decision-making. Maintain complete, accurate, and compliant patient health records in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory standards. Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized plans of care based on patient needs, assessments, and nursing judgment. Promote effective communication and coordination among providers, patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support continuity of care. Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement initiatives, helping identify opportunities to enhance patient care, safety, and operational effectiveness. Support departmental and organizational goals through flexibility, teamwork, and completion of additional duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing with the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing. Current CPR certification.
