Full job description Job Description Join the Clean Energy Revolution Join Southern California Edison (SCE) as a Customer Programs Senior Manager within our Portfolio Planning & Integration (PPI) team. This role is central to SCE's mission to innovate and improve our energy systems, focusing on key areas such as Electrification, Energy Efficiency, Demand Response, and Income-based Programs. The successful candidate will have the responsibility to lead and manage a diverse set of initiatives, aligning them with SCE's long‑term clean energy goals (Countdown to 2045 | Edison International). In this position, you will be expected to develop and implement strategies across a broad spectrum of utility program areas, ensuring they meet the company's objectives and regulatory requirements. You'll manage a team of advisors and experts, guiding them in the design and improvement of customer programs. This role demands strong leadership skills, a knack for strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments within SCE. The ideal candidate for this job is someone who is ready to take on significant responsibilities, capable of prioritizing multiple complex projects, and comfortable making decisions that will influence SCE's strategic direction. Responsibilities Lead with Vision and Develop Strategy: Guide our talented team in developing and executing innovative strategies that align with SCE's overarching goals. You'll mentor team members, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration across functions to deliver on our ambitious portfolio of electrification and energy efficiency programs. Foster Collaborative Excellence: Work at the nexus of technology and strategy, integrating emerging solutions with our existing programs to enhance their impact. By encouraging creativity and strategic foresight, you'll help us not only meet but exceed our sustainability and efficiency targets. Align Our Activities with Corporate Vision: Partner with leadership to ensure our portfolio strategies are in lockstep with corporate objectives and California’s ambitions. Your work will involve crafting detailed roadmaps, establishing clear milestones, and setting the pace for our journey towards a more electrified and efficient future. Champion Transformation and Innovation: Take the lead on entrepreneurial projects that push the boundaries of what's possible in energy management. Your role will be critical in assessing new technologies and methodologies, ensuring they're seamlessly integrated into our programs to maximize impact and expand reach to underserved communities. Engage and Influence: Elevate SCE's position as a leader in the energy sector by representing us in key industry forums, conferences, and public meetings. You'll also engage directly with our customers and communities, understanding their needs and driving meaningful change through our initiatives. Key Qualifications Five (5) or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management experience. Experience leading projects from ideation to execution. Experience in energy program management, particularly in areas related to electrification of transportation/buildings, energy efficiency, demand response, or income-qualified utility programs. Strong knowledge of regulatory and policy issues related to the energy industry, including understanding of relevant regulatory bodies and processes. Preferred Prior role in management consulting or a related field with a focus on business strategy. Excellent in both oral and written communication, including top‑n‑t presentation abilities for leadership interactions. You Should Know This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
