About the role
- Bachelor's degree in math, science or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience working directly with underprepared post-secondary students in an academic environment.
- Demonstrated previous success in motivating and encouraging students.
- Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Possess basic knowledge of fundamental Mathematic/English/Science concepts with the ability to apply in various situations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of exemplary instructional methods and practices.
- Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work accurately with great attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize/handle multiple tasks and work with deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high volume and service environment.
- Possess excellent customer service skills and proven ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships.
- Ability to utilize critical thinking to identify and implement efficiencies within daily operations.
- Possess knowledge and ability to effectively and appropriately interact with students with varying linguistic and cultural backgrounds at the post-secondary level.
