About the role
James Madison University seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Sport & Recreation Management in the Hart School. The appointment will begin Fall 2027 and focuses on undergraduate SRM courses with possible graduate teaching in SRM Leadership.
The candidate must have a Ph. D. or terminal degree in sport management or a closely related field; strong teaching commitment and evidence of publications or a 3–5 year plan are expected. ABD will be considered if Ph. D. can be conferred by 8/10/2027.
