Job Description: At FUELTEC Systems, we take pride in building quality, American-made fuel purification systems that are used worldwide on diesel, gasoline, and jet fuels. Our Assembly Mechanics are responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing the systems that keep our customers’ retail fueling, critical power and government operation’s fuel clean, dry, and up to specification. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. You’ll work closely with other technicians, engineers, and quality inspectors to ensure every system leaving our facility meets the high standards of the FUELTEC brand.
Key Responsibilities: Perform hands-on assembly and installation of products. Assemble mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components according to blueprints, work orders, and schematics. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to build fuel systems and sub-assemblies accurately. Perform basic wiring and plumbing as part of system assembly. Verify proper fit, function, and alignment of assembled parts before final inspection. Conduct functional and pressure testing to confirm system performance and identify adjustments or rework needs. Communicate any material shortages, design issues, or process improvements to the Supervisor or Engineering team. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Support cross-training across other areas of production as needed to meet company goals. Adhere to all company policies, quality procedures, and safety requirements. Train and mentor junior mechanics and helpers.
Required Qualifications: Proven 5+ years of experience as an industrial or automotive mechanic Experience working in industrial environments (manufacturing, processing, or similar)High school diploma or GED required; technical training in hydraulic, mechanical and electrical assembly preferred. Minimum 5+ years of experience with mechanical/ hydraulic equipment. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and assembly instructions. Basic understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, bend, reach or move throughout the shift. Forklift certification or willingness to obtain is a plus.
