About the role
Role: Certification and Conformance Specialist in 3M's Personal Safety Division, focusing on certification of Hearing and Protective Communication PPE.
Responsibilities:
identify regulatory certification requirements,
prepare and submit documentation,
liaise with test labs and authorities to obtain product certifications,
manage post-market compliance activities,
collaborate with cross-functional teams for new product regulatory planning,
and drive operational efficiency projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of regulatory experience in private, public, government, or military sectors;
knowledge of electrical safety, intrinsic safety, RF, and hearing protection standards;
strong interpersonal, project management, and communication skills;
ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
degree in occupational health, safety, sciences, electronics, or engineering;
experience with PPE, multinational companies, and regulatory agencies.
High-Value: PPE certification, hearing protection standards, regulatory documentation, global compliance, product safety, and working in a team with international collaboration.
Work Setup: On-site at Maplewood, MN or Indianapolis, IN, with up to 5% travel; may include relocation; US work authorization required.
