Job Description: Insight Global is hiring a Tax Supervisor to join our growing team in the greater Elmira, NY area. This leadership role offers the opportunity to review and prepare tax returns, support tax planning initiatives, mentor team members, and partner with clients and advisors to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities: Review tax returns ranging from simple to medium complexity and provide recommendations on accuracy and tax-saving opportunities. Prepare tax returns of varying complexity based on experience. Lead tax planning efforts, including quarterly tax projections and tax research. Prepare partnership, trust, and gift tax returns. Partner with clients to gather information and address tax-related questions. Support department initiatives focused on efficiency, productivity, and growth. Train and mentor team members as needed.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Enrolled Agent (EA) required unless exempt based on education and credentials. CPA strongly preferred 5+ years of tax experience, including reviewing and preparing complex tax returns Experience with fiduciary returns preferred Experience reviewing and preparing complex tax returns Strong communication and client service skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and tax software applications Experience with fiduciary returns and Pro System, BNA Income Tax Planner, Intelli-Connect, or similar tools is preferred
