Material Flow / Receiving Associate
Location: Mills River, NC Pay: $20-$23/hour Shift: TBDWe are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Flow / Receiving Associate to support inbound material, receiving, and production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for safely unloading trucks, inspecting incoming materials, completing receiving documentation, and maintaining accurate computer records. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-conscious, comfortable using computers, and able to work effectively in a team environment. Safely and efficiently unload trucks and inspect incoming materials Receive, inspect, and document all inbound shipments Verify the quality and condition of raw materials, including laminate and raw stock Enter receiving information accurately into company systems and complete required paperwork Monitor and respond to email requests related to receiving and material flow Support the Material Flow Lead with daily tasks and priorities Follow receiving procedures to ensure materials are processed efficiently and accurately Communicate material issues or shortages and assist with filing material claims when needed Load pallet waste and assist with unloading the packing line as needed Be trained to provide coverage in other material flow roles as required Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace Support 5S, housekeeping, and continuous improvement activities Use downtime productively to address housekeeping needs and follow up on 5S audit findings Maintain adequate operating supplies and report shortages Follow all company safety procedures, standard work instructions, ISO requirements, and operating procedures Support communication and material flow between production areas and sites Adapt to changing production priorities and assist with additional duties as assigned Previous experience in manufacturing, warehousing, receiving, logistics, or a similar fast-paced environment preferred Forklift experience is a plus Comfortable using computers and digital systems Ability to perform accurate data entry and navigate multiple computer programs and screens Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and email Strong reading, writing, and basic math skills Good verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and organization Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and responsibilities Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
