About the role

A growing full service law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join its real estate practice. This position will support attorneys on a broad range of sophisticated commercial real estate transactions and will have significant responsibility throughout the lifecycle of each matter. The ideal candidate has strong transactional real estate experience and is comfortable independently managing closing processes, coordinating with multiple parties, reviewing title and survey materials, preparing transaction documents, and keeping complex matters organized from opening through closing. Commercial Real Estate Paralegal Responsibilities: Support attorneys on commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financings, refinancings, leasing matters, and other real estate transactions Coordinate commercial real estate transactions from initial due diligence through closing and post closing Assist with the preparation and review of purchase and sale agreements, leases, amendments, assignments, closing documents, and related transaction materials Order and review title commitments, title reports, exception documents, surveys, zoning materials, lien searches, and other due diligence items Identify and track title and survey issues and coordinate resolution with attorneys, title companies, surveyors, clients, lenders, and other transaction parties Prepare and maintain comprehensive closing checklists and track outstanding deliverables and deadlines Coordinate directly with title companies, lenders, opposing counsel, clients, brokers, municipalities, and other third parties throughout transactions Assist with commercial real estate financing transactions, including preparation and organization of loan and collateral documentation Prepare organizational documents, resolutions, consents, certificates, and other entity related materials required for closings Assist with entity formation and obtain certificates of good standing and other corporate records as needed for transactions Prepare deeds, transfer documents, affidavits, closing statements, escrow materials, and other closing documentation Coordinate document execution and signature collection and ensure all required closing materials are completed Organize and manage virtual closing rooms and transaction files Assist attorneys with reviewing and compiling due diligence materials Coordinate recording and filing of deeds, mortgages, UCC financing statements, and other transaction documents Manage post closing requirements, including final title policies, recorded documents, closing binders, and outstanding deliverables Maintain accurate matter files and ensure documentation is properly organized and accessible Communicate regularly with attorneys regarding transaction status, deadlines, outstanding issues, and next steps Manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Work collaboratively with attorneys and professionals across the firm's other practice areas when transactions involve corporate, tax, financing, or other legal considerations Commercial Real Estate Paralegal Qualifications:3+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience preferred Significant experience supporting attorneys on sophisticated transactional commercial real estate mattersStrong understanding of the commercial real estate closing process from due diligence through post closing Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, financing transactions, and leasing mattersStrong experience reviewing title and survey materials Familiarity with title commitments, exception documents, lien searches, zoning materials, and other real estate due diligence Experience preparing and maintaining closing checklists and coordinating transaction deliverables Familiarity with deeds, mortgages, UCC filings, transfer documents, organizational documents, and other common commercial real estate documentation Experience working directly with title companies, lenders, clients, opposing counsel, and other transaction parties Ability to independently manage multiple active transactions and competing deadlines Strong organizational and project management skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify missing or inconsistent information Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work effectively with attorneys while also taking ownership of assigned matters Comfortable working in a deadline driven transactional environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems Paralegal certificate or bachelor's degree preferred, but relevant substantive experience will be strongly considered
