LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced HR Generalist in the Nashville area. This position offers broad exposure across all areas of Human Resources, with an emphasis on payroll processing, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and performance management.
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $75,000-$85,000
Location: Nashville, TN. (Hybrid 3 days on-site)
Responsibilities:
- Support full-cycle payroll processing for approximately 150 employees across facilities in 20 states
- Assist with payroll administration including timekeeping, deductions, compliance, and employee inquiries
- Administer employee benefit programs and serve as a key resource for benefits-related questions
- Coordinate annual open enrollment processes and communicate benefit offerings to employees
- Partner with leaders on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Maintain employee records, HRIS data integrity, and HR documentation
- Assist with handbook updates, policy administration, and compliance initiatives
- Support recruiting efforts including posting positions, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and onboarding new hires
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify process improvements and enhance the employee experience
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Hands-on experience supporting payroll administration, benefits, employee relations, compliance, and performance management
- Paylocity experience is a plus
- Knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and benefits administration
- Ability to prioritize competing demands in a dynamic environment
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferredSHRM-CP, PHR, payroll, or benefits certifications are a plus
