Job Description: Foreman - MSE Walls MEMCO
Location: Rio Grande Valley, TX
Job Type: Full-time Work Setting: On-site Position Summary MEMCO is seeking an experienced MSE Wall Foremanto lead and supervise a crew responsible for constructing Mechanically Stabilized Earth walls on heavy civil construction projects throughout the Rio Grande Valley. This position will oversee daily field operations, crew production, material placement, wall alignment, backfill, compaction, safety, and quality control.
Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily crew activities for MSE wall construction. Read and interpret blueprints, plans, grades, and project specifications. Lead installation of prefabricated concrete panels, wall blocks, straps, grids, reinforcement, and other MSE wall components. Monitor wall alignment, elevations, material placement, backfill, and compaction. Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to keep work progressing efficiently. Track production progress and communicate manpower, equipment, and material needs. Train and guide crew members through hands-on instruction. Maintain a safe and organized jobsite. Conduct toolbox talks and enforce all jobsite safety requirements. Communicate with supervisors, project managers, operators, subcontractors, and crew members. Assist with daily reports, timekeeping, and equipment logs as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements: Minimum 3 years of heavy civil construction experience preferred. Previous MSE wall or retaining wall construction experience required. Previous foreman or crew leadership experience required. Knowledge of prefabricated concrete wall systems, reinforcement placement, wall alignment, backfill, and compaction. Ability to read plans, grades, and project specifications. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Must be dependable, safety-minded, and able to work in a fast-paced construction environment. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb, bend, stand, and walk on uneven terrain. Must have reliable transportation. Must have basic PPE.Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday Overtime may be required depending on project needs. Pay Pay is based on experience.#MEM-HAR
